It chronicles the legend of the progressive Telugu poet-saint Vemana from his being a rebellious and hedonistic youth from a landed elite to a renunciate.

Raama, who is a devotee of Lord Venkateswara, denounces worldly pleasures including his soon-to-be-bride and maradalu Bhavani and ends up at Tirumala. He decides to change the face of Tirumala by turning it into ‘Kaliyuga Vaikuntham’ both for pilgrims and the deity with the help of Krishnamma. His endeavours to do so, the hurdles and his encounters with the Lord himself is the story.

Rasaiya and Rajeswari are tribal newly weds, out for a midnight stroll in the forest. Bhakta Kumbara is a 1974 Indian Kannada biographical film, directed by Hunsur Krishnamurthy and produced by N R Anuradha Devi. The film stars Rajkumar, Leelavati and Balkrishna in lead roles. The film had a musical score by G.K. Venkatesh. Actress Sridevi essayed the role of Muktha Bai (as a child artist), thereby the latter making her Kannada film debut. The movie is based on the life of Gora Kumbhar, a potter turned into a saint who lived in the 13th and 14th centuries in Teredoki village. He supposedly lost his child while curing the clay by his legs for making pots, because he did not notice his child fumbling under his feet as he immersed himself in chanting the name of God. Considering the conditions of the period in which it was filmed, it is a fairly realistic film. The location is not specified, but I think it is somewhere around Adana. It is a rice field where female agricultural workers are working. A ruthless landlord and a son who is just as evil as his father. One of the female workers, who stands out for her beauty (Melek Görgün), catches the attention of both the landlord and his son. She flees due to the pressure she faces, and her path crosses with that of a young man (Salih Güney) who has suffered at the hands of the landlord, had his land taken away, and lost his sister. They fall in love, and the events lead to a tragic ending. In keeping with classic Yeşilçam screenplays, you expect Salih Güney to avenge his sister's death and reunite with Melek Görgün (or for the woman to die).
