Between bars and shows, Dodô Pankada divides his time between his work as a barber and the stages of São Paulo's independent music scene, where he sings forró and other genres that are part of his Northeastern roots. Alongside him is Ericoness, a curious and eccentric outsider, who enters Dodô's world with the goal of documenting his routine and trying to understand what makes him continue pursuing his dream.

The forró musical genre from Northeastern Brazil is a male-dominated industry. Some of the few female musicians who managed to fight prejudice and misogyny in order to succeed offer their perspectives on the matter.
