Recordings of two live performances by Malice Mizer, edited into a complete concert experience of the visual kei rock band’s third studio album "merveilles", filmed while on tour in Japan during 1998 at the Nippon Budōkan Hall on April 1 and Yokohama Arena on July 22. The performances featured an onstage cathedral set piece, theatrics, costume changes, and skits. The final show of the "merveilles ~Shuuen to Kisuu~" tour held July 22, 1998 at Yokohama Arena, featured in the film, would be lead vocalist Gackt’s last performance with Malice Mizer before his departure from the group in January of 1999 and drummer Kami’s last live show before his sudden passing on June 21, 1999.

Other featured matches included a Wonder of Stardom Championship match between champion Konami and 2026 Cinderella Tournament winner Hanan, 02line (AZM and Miyu Amasaki) challenging BMI2000 (Natsuko Tora and Ruaka) for the the Goddesses of Stardom Championship after a controversial prior defense in January, and Natsupoi and Maki Itoh in a kawaii-based grudge match. A retirement ceremony for long-time star Saki Kashima was also held.

A portrait of four abandoned spaces inside the so-called “Zone of Alienation” in Chornobyl, Ukraine: a dripping swimming pool, a ruined concert hall, a mould-infested gymnasium, and an old village church. In each room, he made a recording of 10 minutes and then played the recording back into the room, recording it again. This process was repeated up to ten times. As the layers got denser, each room slowly began to unfold a drone with various overtones. For the visual representation of the four rooms, Kirkegaard explored a variety of techniques, working with layers, overexposure, and video feedback, that can be understood as analogous to his acoustical method.
