The event aired via pay-per-view (PPV) and livestreaming and featured wrestlers from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. This was the second SummerSlam event to emanate from Cleveland, after the 1996 event, which was held at the Gund Arena (now known as Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse). WWE wrestler and Cleveland area native The Miz served as the host of the event.

It will be the 15th annual Money in the Bank event and will take place on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
