Friendship is a mysterious island at the Archipiélago de las Guitecas (Chile) which does not exist on the map. People from the south know the island by rumors that link Friendship to miraculous healings and UFO phenomena. Toto Island is part of the same archipelago to which Shingo traveled with an improvised manual for basic communication, containing ready made phrases in Spanish regarding the purpose of his trip. The manual, an old radio and his video camera would be the only means to establish contacts and collect information on the Friendship enigma.

A camera rotates around the same four towers. Seasons, weather conditions and the positions of the camera change over the course of the film. The sound goes round in circles and drifts in variations.

The Tsunami uses environmental metaphor to capture the escalating violence against women crisis in Australia and globally. The normalisation of misogyny and the pervasive harm to women are central themes, reflecting the anger and frustration born from centuries of oppression. The fury of regressing, particularly during disturbing political regimes, and the profound sense of loss fuel its message. It aims to highlight the urgent need for change and the relentless courage required to speak out against patriarchy and entrenched power structures. Produced, written and directed by Nikki Teeuw.

Begotten is the creation myth brought to life, the story of no less than the violent death of God and the (re)birth of nature on a barren earth.

Reynivellir is a representation of the transit that is generated when approaching the art work, described with visual games that can well be evoked by the same brain when witnessing the impossible figures of Jose María Yturralde. Reynivellir is also a beach in a country that is a musical sonnet, and this is so because the mental image does not always connect the articulated parts of a sensation, it is systematic, but aleatory, and it is from these notions of the field of observation, that it approaches and moves away from understanding, linking and unlinking forms, movements, sounds, sensations and knowledge.

After concluding the now-legendary public access TV series, The Pain Factory, Michael Nine embarked on a new and more subversive public access endeavor: a collaboration with Scott Arford called Fuck TV. Whereas The Pain Factory predominantly revolved around experimental music performances, Fuck TV was a comprehensive and experiential audio-visual presentation. Aired to a passive and unsuspecting audience on San Francisco’s public access channel from 1997 to 1998, each episode of Fuck TV was dedicated to a specific topic, combining video collage and cut-up techniques set to a harsh electronic soundtrack. The resultant overload of processed imagery and visceral sound was unlike anything presented on television before or since. Set inside a cramped prison and unfolding in a single unbroken long take, A Prison on the Equator follows a condemned prisoner who obsessively reasons through time, logic and fate as he awaits an execution promised to be a "surprise."

Brought in by an ill wind, a stranger from another world falls to earth into the body of a young man. A glitch in this interchange hampers the alien consciousness to fully integrate in the new found carcass. We follow this being for a day in their muffled wander through earth.

Persona non grata

A kinetic prayer and structuralist intervention. Shot entirely on an iPhone 11 in a desolate Midwest laundromat, 108 spin documents the mechanics of impermanence. The film shifts from heavy turbulence to suspended repetition—not as a path to completion, but as a study of the loop itself. Featuring a layered soundscape, the work asks the viewer to stare into the rotation until the noise becomes a mantra.

Temperamental bunny Barbara only gives her stag sugar daddy Nestor his special massage, after he dines her and plays the big spender. This obscure short film pinpoints postmodern tropes of consumerism, eroticism, and art with an homage to the theater stage and references to literature. This work uses a fantasy language and needs no subtitles.
