Huge fan of Jack Kerouac and so many beat poets/writers from that generation, so when I saw a documentary about one of his most influential books I immediately had to watch it. Took me around 20 min to realize what a boring piece of crap it was and turn it off. Just a bunch of celebrities and nobodies sniffing their own farts and talking about their life? Nothing really to do with the book itself and other than presumably everyone featured in this doc having read On the Road, there was nothing to tie them all together. The moment they started interviewing the two van life influencers I said 'Nope' and that was that. On the Road remains one of those books that I will always cite as a defining read for me. This could've and should've been way more interesting.
