In 26 AD, Judah Ben-Hur, a Jew in ancient Judea, opposes the occupying Roman empire. Falsely accused by a Roman childhood friend-turned-overlord of trying to kill the Roman governor, he is put into slavery and his mother and sister are taken away as prisoners.

A girl who has always had to translate speech into sign language for her deaf parents yet when her love for playing music grows strong she must decide to continue doing something she cannot share with her parents.

Starting his new job as an instructor at a New England school for the deaf, James Leeds meets Sarah Norman, a young deaf woman who works at the school as a member of the custodial staff. In spite of Sarah's withdrawn emotional state, a romance slowly develops between the pair.

Upon using a modern art museum as the setting for a role play game that goes hopelessly awry, a deaf couple desperate to rekindle their spark finds the reconnection they seek in their shared experience over an abstract sculpture.

When Ramesh marries Kusum and hopes to have a better future, things don't go well and in a series of events a cow is accidently killed in his fields. Ramesh has to live in exile as a part of the punishment. Punishment takes a toll on the couple and Ramesh descends into madness. Slowly animals and human die in the village and people blame Kusum because of her past. A pandemic hits the village and villagers had to flee. Having served his sentence Ramesh returns to the empty village like a king.
