In a satirical way, the typical television coverage after a (fictitious) state election is simulated — including projections, interviews, commentaries, and a so-called “heavyweight round”. When then, over the course of the broadcast, the voter turnout is estimated at just 3.86 percent of those eligible to vote, none of the involved people believes it. But after this information turns out to be true, an attempted is made to explain this scandalous, impertinent, and downright subversive behaviour of the electorate.

Artak has served his military service in the Russian countryside where he meets Valya. But Valya's mother refuses to send her only daughter to “these far highlands, where earthquakes happen all the time”. Artak is forced to ask his contrasting and numerous relatives –Armenian villagers– to visit a remote Russian village to bring a bride to Armenia.

The world-famous Cockettes enact Tricia Nixon's wedding to Edward Cox on June 11, 1971. Hurtme O. Hurtme, television correspondent, covers the wedding and interviews celebrities in attendance such as Golda Meir, Indira Gandhi, Jacqueline Onassis, Queen Elizabeth, and Elizabeth Taylor. Coretta King sings. During the reception, Eartha Kitt puts LSD in the punch. All hell breaks loose.

The Sailor and the Seagull was released by the U.S. Navy in 1949 with a simple goal: encouraging servicemen to re-enlist. In the film, a disgruntled sailor named McGinty complains about the raw deal he believes he is receiving by serving in the Navy. As luck would have it, a seagull comes to release him from service so that he can experience the freedom of civilian life. McGinty soon learns, however, that civilian life means less freedom and less money than he had imagined and quickly jumps at the chance to re-enlist. You look in vain for respect in Pispers' programs. Blunt, crass and direct, he oscillates between bitterly angry and charmingly witty when he thinks the absurdities of the world through to the end.
