HiGH&LOW －THE PREQUEL－ centers the past, where a legendary gang called Mugen ruled the area. Mugen had controlled the entire area with its overwhelming power until it suddenly disbanded. That led to the transformation of the well-controlled area by Mugen into a lawless one, but on the other hand, it opened a new chapter of five emerging gangs that took control of the area on their separate territory. Each of these five gangs fights to protect what they value respectively. Taken from the initial of the five gangs, the area came to be known as the SWORD area. This is the story of the end of one summer, on the eve of the SWORD’s formation. Capricciosa is revue that follows the vagabond Capricciosa on his adventures that take him to various locations in Italy. Rome 1498. The Borgia family is prosperous due to the great power of Pope Alessandro VI, who is both patriarch of the Borgia family and the the head of the Church. Cesare, the first son, decides to follow his ambition and relinquish his position of Cardinal, second only in power to the Pope. This bold choice is one which is to change his life.

The man known as Silver fights with demons from his past without knowning what they are. He lost his memory during some traumatic event, and was taken in by Ray. He now works with Ray to kill corrupt politicians and other powerful men. However, he has a very nihilistic outlook, believing he has nothing to live for, no matter how much Ray argues with him.

They pass the time putting on their own productions, mostly Shakespearean plays, while waiting for that one big break. The de facto lead actor is Alec Rockwood, who used to perform on Vaudeville with his family.

In 1961, young Hermann goes to the British hospital to get medicine for his mother. Because of this, he ends up on the wrong side when the Berlin Wall goes up and is seperated from his mother. He is adopted by a very loving couple and grows up to become a world-famous composer. As the show opens, it is 1988, and he performs his newest piece, called "A Map Without Borders" in New York. Afterwards, he tells the tale of how he was seperated from his mother to the press. He hopes someday to be able to cross into East Berlin and find his mother again.

Harvey Rockwood, a world-renowned botanist, comes across bad weather and finds himself enveloped by a dense fog. Under the blanket of the mist, he hears the sound of the wind, the calls of wild birds, and then a mysterious singing voice in a garden where he meets Elu, the Spirit of the Blue Rose. Elu informs Harvey that they shall meet once again in the mist...

A musical production about a runaway papparazzo following a scandal and his target, an up-and-coming actress, who connect with each other after a certain incident. Holly Ashley is a freelance journalist who supplies "scoop" photos and gossip articles to tabloids and evening magazines. One night, a party is held at Studio 54 celebrating the release of rock star Z-BOY's new album. Holly gets an exclusive story on the up-and-coming actress Giselle Morgan, who is rumored to be Z-BOY's lover. But Z-BOY's agency interferes with the article being published. Holly needs money — to give back to the orphanage where he was raised. Desperate, he chases after the pair and gets involved in an incident...

A revue-style production looking back on 20 years of Cosmos Troupe through their famous songs and memorable scenes, and connecting these to their brilliant future. Following in the footsteps of Cosmos Troupe's predecessors, fresh young members will sing and dance with hope for tomorrow in their hearts. This play is based on “The Makropulos Case”, written by the famous Czech writer Karel Čapek. As usual, Takarazuka has added their own spin to the original story; the most notable change in this play is that the genders of most of the major characters have been reversed. (In the original play, the main character is a woman.)

The roaring '20s are still in high gear, and Berlin is the center of high life. Guests come and go at the opulent Grand Hotel, as cynical Doctor Otternschlag, who still suffers from World War I wounds.
