The story follows the lead singer of a punk rock band who is haunted by an enigma of a woman after a terrifying encounter with the newest street drug, Black Toad.

David Bono is a hitman hired to target Orshanabi Nazzar, a high-ranking priest-bureaucrat in a temple corporation in the fictional city of Babylonia (Brussels-based). The corporation has invented a way to avoid death by recording people's lives. While gathering information and preparing for the job, David meets Ellie, with whom they slept together. However, Ellie is a member of a cult called Children of Ishtar, and David's job would interrupt their life-recording ceremony. Facing an obsessive dilemma, David tries to find a way to do his mission without killing Ellie. First, he tries to convince Ellie not to attend the ceremony, and then he hires a local crook to kidnap her while he does the job. After the successful job, Ellie frees herself from the kidnapper, discovers the truth, and leaves for Akkadia. Meanwhile, David calls to receive the rest of his payment but gets ambushed by the contractor.

Yusef, a first-generation Pakistani engineering student, moves off-campus with a group of Muslim punks in Buffalo, New York. His new "un-orthodox" housemates soon introduce him to Taqwacore: a hardcore, Muslim punk-rock scene that only exists out west. As the seasons change, Taqwacore influences the house more and more. The living room becomes a mosque during the day, while it continues to host punk parties at night. Ultimately, Yusef is influenced by Taqwacore too, as he begins to challenge his own faith and ideologies. 'The Taqwacores' deals with the complexities of being young and Muslim in modern-day America.

The German punk band "Terrorgruppe" was found in 1993 and broke up in 2005. The band was essential for the developement of German punk. Songs like "Keine Airbags für die CSU" or "Mein Skateboard ist wichtiger als Deutschland" inspired a whole generation of punks and anarchists. This documentary portraits the band's history from 1993 to 2005.

Mark McDonagh struggles with overly supportive parents, his cocky bullies and mainly his low mental health. Mark uses punk music to express himself, but still feels alone; until he meets Lulu - the hippy-goth girl, next door to next door.
