On a fateful San Francisco night in the early '60s, Condor nightclub performer Carol Doda was lowered to the stage on a floating piano, topless. Word spread quickly, setting off a wave of controversy and delight, with raids soon to follow. There was even a trial for the new celebrity. Doda's dry wit and charisma made her an instant sensation of the night club scene: an empowered woman in full control. Or so it seemed.

This documentary follows the feats of high-altitude climber Jerzy Kukuczka and his ascent to higher heights before his death in 1989.

In 1915, the First World War is in full swing and young men are called to military service in rows - including Franz and Peter. At the Limit is a documentary about extreme climbing. In this sports documentary, Pepe Danquart shows brothers Thomas and Alexander Huber climbing in Patagonia and on the granite rock "El Capitan" in Yosemite Valley (USA). A key part of the film is their attempt at a speed ascent of the 1,000-meter-high route "The Nose," in which the two athletes aim to break the then speed record of 2:48:30 hours, set by Hans Florine and Yuji Hirayama in September 2002.

The perception of a place, the idea we create of it and the emotions it arouses in us are closely linked to the type of interaction between different aspects. Carie is the discovery of a new dimension of climbing, but at the same time an excuse to stop and reflect on what it means to maintain a balance between safeguarding the environment and human development, creating a multiparty discussion on the matter. It is a journey that began in one way and was transformed during the course of the project, one piece at a time, thanks to a succession of encounters during the search for possible climbing routes in the marble quarries of the Apuan Alps.

During the summer of 2020, Belgian climbers Nicolas Favresse and Sébastien Berthe set themselves the challenge of completing the Alpine Trilogy, three of the most difficult routes in the Alps. But the two friends, accompanied by their cameraman Damien Largeron, intended to have a fun and lighthearted experience: what better way to connect the three legendary routes than by bike and in the company of their dogs?! In just two weeks, a veritable caravan of joy embarked on one of the greatest climbing feats of recent years.

Vertical Opera is a documentary film directed by Jean-Paul Janssen, with climbers Patrick Edlinger and Jean-Paul Lemercier in the Gorges du Verdon. The film opens with a training sequence of Patrick Edlinger then he links the routes with Jean-Paul Lemercier "L'Ange en décongelation" (7a), in which he falls voluntarily to demonstrate the usefulness of the rope, then "Le Septième Saut" (7b+). Finally, the final scene, an anthology, consists of a close-up of Edlinger who climbs free solo and barefoot the route "Débiloff", still in the Verdon, above hundreds of meters of void, all to lyrical music. It is "Wie Furchtsam Wankten Meine Schritte", the aria for alto voice from Johann Sebastian Bach's cantata BWV 33, music not unrelated to the subject of the documentary: "How faltering and fearful my steps were".
