THE IDOLM@STER SHINY COLORS 5thLIVE If I_wings. was a two-day live concert event that took place at Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo on March 18th and 19th, 2023.

Five bands all have their sights set on stardom as they take the stage in the first theatrical film of the Bang Dream series.

When the Stray Cats rolled into Montreux in July of 1981 they were one of the hottest properties around. They had 3 hit singles and a UK top 10 album already under their belts along with a string of headlining concerts, all of which had come since their relocation from New York to London in 1980. The band's combination of original songs and rockabilly classics with a punk attitude and style had caught the moment to perfection. Added to this were their considerable musical accomplishments and knack for songwriting. All in all it was a heady concoction and the crowd in Montreux reacted with near hysterical excitement, something rarely seen in what is usually a polite and reserved audience. This is the Stray Cats at their peak.

Newark was much more limited editing wise because I didn't have many other sources but my shoot is so good and so steady (only at some times stupid periscopers and other "mobile phone people" got in the way) that with additional footage from friends I was able to create a mighty fantastic film. Recorded during a series of concerts at The Hague in early May 1991, this show is from 10 May and served as a benefit gig for Kurd Aid. It isn't a full length performance of course, but still remains interesting. Several of the performances were released as live b-sides on 'Ten Summoner's Tales' era singles. Perhaps of most interest is the live version of Hendrix's 'Purple Haze', a rip-roaring crowd favourite from that tour.

A documentary film about the Afro-American Woodstock concert held in Los Angeles seven years after the Watts riots. Director Mel Stuart mixes footage from the concert with footage of the living conditions in the current-day Watts neighborhood.
