EZO1 - Madness

Set in the 1950s, it tells the story of a prison officer who stays in a bungalow with five prisoners who were charged with different crimes and his experiments to reform them.

During the Northern Wei Dynasty, the Rouran army invaded the border, and the country called up military residents to go out to battle. To perform the duty for her father, Hua Mulan disguised herself as a man and came to battlefield.

The events take place in a fantasy framework around a disassembled family whose members only care about money, a creature from the planet Mercury comes to it that meets the requests of each individual for the family individually on the condition that he is repaired and his family is circled to become an ideal family to follow.

Jack Duncan returns from the war in France to his wife and baby and learns that his job as a draftsman at the Loring Steel Mills has been taken. Given work in the machine shop, Jack becomes the prey of Red agitators who want him because of his popularity with soldiers. The Reds cause Jack's discharge just when his house payments come due, and when they convince him of the injustice of his situation, he joins their ranks. After learning of plans to burn the factory and Loring's home, and start a riot in the town, Jack is won over by a socialist's arguments advocating mild reforms. At a meeting of workingmen, Jack praises Americanism. He warns Loring and, with soldiers at a nearby camp, quells the riot. After a woman agitator kills her comrades and then shoots herself, Jack arrives home to save his wife from an attack by a Red ringleader. Jack is then made a foreman at the mill.

After escaping a deadly gang war in Mumbai, a criminal assumes a new identity and falls in love with a wealthy girl in Kerala. However, things go downhill when his rivals try to hunt him down.

Jimena travels to Río Grande, on the island of Tierra del Fuego in southernmost Argentina, to join her half-brother Mariano. She has almost no money to travel but manages to arrive there hoping to have a better life in that manufacturing region. The wind, the cold and the complex economic crisis form the background against in which Jimena will develop empathy for the people around her and a feeling of belonging there, but also a place where she will learn to know herself better.

Madhav Sunnipenta returns to his homeland from Australia in search of the perfect bride. He hires a marriage bureau that arranges three match-making dates for him, with women from three different backgrounds. The marriage bureau’s owner sends her daughter Thupakula Satyabhama to pick up and accompany him to these dates. The two fall in love during this one-day trip but destiny has other plans for them.

This pseudo diary film is made of found materials from an unfinished 16mm film. Potenciais à Deriva is a film started by a Brazilian artist under a pseudonym while living in exile in Los Angeles, California. Isolated shots and previously assembled scenes reveal an intention to create a mysterious film comprised of disembodied interviews, empty rooms, radio recordings, soccer games, and sudden apparitions of the filmmaker that slowly ruminates on Brazil's colonial past, North American Imperialism and the military dictatorship of the time in a paranoid and anxious manner. Be aware that the film's final version never came to exist. This version presented is my mere attempt to produce a film with these otherwise lost images.

A young woman surrounded by loved ones notices a drastic change in herself after a tragic event.

To their respective conservative Indian parents, Vir and Nitya are a happily married couple living in Parramatta, Sydney. They love to play the sitar together, she is a successful dentist, and he is studying for his accounting exam. However, as the cultural expectations ingrained into them from childhood start to take their toll, they both face challenges in their personal and professional lives. After reaching a breaking point, Vir comes out to Nitya about his sexuality, which causes a rift between them and brings shame to their families. Vir then decides to explore his own sexual identity with another man.

When the girl they call "the dog" leaves their school for good, Pauline and her gang decide to choose for themselves a new pet hate, in spite of their friend Julie's warning. Among unspoken words, rivalries and impulses of violence, this infernal quest might turn everything upside down.

When she finds independence lonelier than she expected, she must face her self-destructive habits as she searches for a sense of identity in the charming small town that holds her best memories.
