Caste Aside is a documentary about the British government's controversial decision on whether or not to introduce legislation against caste discrimination in the UK. Highlighting both sides of this heated debate, the documentary speaks to Dalit rights activists, Hindu community leaders, academics and lawyers, as well as those who say they have been discriminated against on the basis of their caste - here in Britain.

British Ace and hero Albert Ball was perhaps the Allies' best known flyer of the Great War. Originally an infantryman, Ball was one of the first members of the Royal Flying Corps but, on 7th May 1917, he would depart for his last fight. Always one of the toughest events in the World Rally Championship, the 1986 Safari Rally lived up to character. A field of 76 set off from Nairobi, including defending champion Juha Kankkunen of Finland (Peugeot 205) and twice former Safari winner Bjorn Waldegaard of Sweden (Toyota Celica Turbo). As this video forcibly demonstrates, the terrain of the 2,600 mile event provided a severe challenge, taking crews first to the south-east of Kenya, including the night-drive through the Taita Hills. Marku Alen in the Lancia showed that his vivid style is not restricted to tarmac road events, while Lars-Eric Torph (Sweden) provided admirable back-up to Waldegaard. The punishing heat, strength-sapping sand and grass lanes and dunes tested the world championship aspirants to the limit, and it's here on this film waiting to be seen and re-seen.

NEW ZEALAND The young Juha Kankkunen - series leader - came to New Zealand full of confidence. The Peugeot driver’s main rival Markku Alen (Lancia Delta S4) was determined not to let the French opposition retain the World Manufacturers’ Championship without a fight. And a fight it was! ARGENTINA The Championship had reached fever pitch by the Argentinian round. Both Lancia and Peugeot were desperately trying to recruit experienced drivers to boost their chances. Peugeot managed to secure the services of a certain Stig Blomqvist - and by the end of the rally the team had cause to thank him. His crucial third place had saved the day for Peugeot even though it was Lancia’s rising star Miki Biasion who had finally taken his first major win. With Kankkunen sidelined by mechanical problems, Alen’s second place closed the points gap in the Championship race and the rallying world looked forward to the next battle - the 1000 Lakes!
