In different times and spaces, genres like Death Metal are born. The early 90′s were still full of the 80′s vibe of over-consumption & greed, which found it’s way into everyday life, even into the music that was created. Just like hardcore in the early 80′s, not all of the teenagers of this decade wanted to hear the bubblegum pop that had invaded the airwaves. Death Metal did not want to be digested by the masses, and as a sub culture it was totally happy being the outsider. I’m not sure what was in the water in Florida during the late 80′s, because those kids were on some next shit, and they helped push the genre to other heights. When you are living in a certain period of time, you do realize that the life you are living could become historic to others in the future.

Heavysaurs is a partly-animated, live-action family adventure about two kids who find five funny dinosaur creatures that love to eat and play rock music. When the creatures are taken into captivity, their rescue takes the kids on an exciting adventure full of challenges and surprises.

Three parts loose 'n loud garage rock, one part grungedelic progpunk, Thee Hypnotics produced the kind of uplifting vibe that most of the big-league rock 'n rollers had lost years ago, and most of the newer bar-room gutter rock and tripped-out psyche revivalists could only dream of.

Hilarity ensues as they realize that "to make it" they're gonna have to learn some new tricks.

Jonas Mekas captures an afternoon in New York as a Hare Krishna group fills the streets with chanting and song. Filmed with his characteristic freewheeling style and later incorporated into Walden, the short stands as an impressionistic sketch of spiritual fervor and Mekas’s participatory approach to cinema.
