Recorded from the West End, Kiss Me Kate follows a pair of divorced actors brought together to participate in a musical version of The Taming of the Shrew. Of course, the couple seem to act a great deal like the characters they play, and they must work together when mistaken identities get them mixed up with the mafia.

The husband says he has no time for that because it has to go to the interior of the Quirinal offices, but in secretly he has a date with a married woman, Mrs. Rolandi.

The family members treat their lawyer Faukner with condescension, except for their daughter Julia, who secretly loves him. However, no one except Ducháček knows that the squandering family no longer has any money and that JUDr. Faukner is subsidizing it, because he is also secretly in love with Julia.

The title refers to the office of records in the basement of a large company... sort of the place where a troublesome employee may be dumped in a dead end job. If fact, the story is a simple romantic comedy, with Burian as the kindly old stick-in-the-mud who helps the young man to sort out his romance with the daughter of the company's owner.

A writer who wants to see and display the life of an ordinary bourgeois settles in the house. Having learned about the true goals of the guest, the family members decide to play a prank on him, making him believe that a gang of crooks and gangsters is hiding in the depths of the "quiet family".
