During 3 seemingly mundane conversations, a couple, Lia and Theo, experience the tensions of a relationship arising from everyday conflicts. Issues of coexistence take precedence over passion and may cause a rift that leads to a point of no return.

Shortly after breaking up, Marcelo and Camila end up locked inside their apartment. The time they spend together after the breakup awakens a series of memories in each of them.

Pasqualina, 91, is an old lady full of life who lives in a nursing home after having lost all her relatives. In a sunny day, she decides to run away from there: she wants to find a former love she had long lost sight of. In this journey, Pasqualina ends up meeting Petrolina, nicknamed Pety, an 8 years old dreamy girl, that resents the fact of not having a grandmother. The friendship changes their lives, and Pety, surprisingly, tries to adopt Pasqualina.

In January 1946 a British military transport plane departs from Shanghai on its to Tokyo, Japan. During the flight the airplane makes an emergency landing on Sado Island. The residents on the island have heard stereotypes of the British soldiers and have mixed feelings about the their new "guest." Nevertheless, for the next 40 days the islanders take care of the crew members until the plane can take off once again. This includes Chiyoko Morimoto who is the daughter of the inn owner where some of the British crew members stay.

There is a serious problem with getting a job among young people in Korea. A young man in Korea named Doo-soo is lying to his parents while working at a market, because most Korean people don't want to a blue-collar job. Jun (Kubota Masashi) receives the death penalty for a botched robbery that turned into murder and while in prison, he is visited by Kaoru (Ono), a Christian and the fiance of the man he killed. However, when her fiance was killed, he was secretly with another woman. Jun and Kaoru soon become attracted to one another and, using a bible, they start to communicate in secret.
