If I Were Alive

Kanji Watanabe is a middle-aged man who has worked in the same monotonous bureaucratic position for decades. Learning he has cancer, he starts to look for the meaning of his life.

During 3 seemingly mundane conversations, a couple, Lia and Theo, experience the tensions of a relationship arising from everyday conflicts. Issues of coexistence take precedence over passion and may cause a rift that leads to a point of no return.
