The Other People

In a town plagued with sudden deaths and missing persons, a troubled eight-year-old girl befriends a boy that lives in the shadows, and her new stepmom learns why things that live in the dark don’t want to be seen.

This is quite the decent build-up for a horror movie and it lends itself marvelously to the premise. It leans into a potential twist that doesn't quite land the way I thought it would, and I am happy that it didn't. I think it could have diminished the movie if it had turned out the way I had assumed. The acting in this is good and the story is haunting and intriguing and I had a lot of fun watching this.
