Richard Jones’ “La bohème” is an important weapon in the Royal Opera’s commercial arsenal. Tobias Kratzer’s new staging brings together the dark reality of the French Revolutionary ‘Terror’ and our own time to illuminate Fidelio’s inspiring message of shared humanity.
