Four good friends, all seventeen-year old, lose their innocence during their last summer together.

Following an accident, Meral returns to live with her traditional parents where she is confined to her bed while recuperating. Nobody confronts her condition except herself. Her little sister Asiye is her biggest supporter.

As an unexpected truth about a young women gets revealed to her mother, the basic fact that a mother - daughter relationship is supposed to be based on unconditional love will have to be questioned.

A woman attorney is seen in her apartment with her poor henpecked husband, who is more like her man servant than her better half. She is so taken up with her studies in law that she finds no time to bother with household duties, thus putting the burden on her husband who is compelled to take care of the baby, clean the house, do the cooking and be on hand, ready to answer whenever the wife calls on him to attend to her wants. A young woman sitting on a bench in the public park is annoyed by an old man sitting next to her and paying her persistent attention. Resenting this ridiculous flirtation, the young lady rises to leave, but the old man tries to stop her, so she pushes him down and is soon seen seeking more peaceful quarters. The old flirt, disgusted, starts reading his paper, when his attention is attracted by an advertisement of some wonderful pills. (Moving Picture World)

As a funeral procession advances through a dusty town in the Paraguana peninsula, a young man rides his bicycle through the crowd. A beautiful woman stands apart from the crowd and gazes in wonder as the young man rides away. A child, the town's fool and the woman go after the Bicycle, each character with his own motivation. Enraged with indignation, the men also follow the cyclist through the town and onto the desert seeking to kill him.
