On a sunny day in the Efteling, the cousins decide to visit Land van Laaf. What at first appears to be an idyllic community, where simplicity and family take center stage, soon transforms into a disturbing prison. Gradually, the cousins are drawn into the dark spiral of the story of the People of Laaf. Escape seems increasingly out of reach.

Young Peter has a difficult time adjusting at school having been confined to a wheelchair after an accident. He still wants to participate in the school outing and play and wants to come up with a way to make the play actors 'fly' like fairies. By chance the local inventor Quirinus Drijfhout and his son Felix have just perfected their 'Zerostraler', a machine that can make any object float in mid air.

During the annual family weekend in theme park "De Efteling", eleven-year-old Teun discovers that his recently deceased grandfather left him one last scavenger hunt inside the park.

"Strength of big, strength of small, let one become the other!" Poof! She casts a spell, making Klein Duimpje ten times bigger! But is being bigger actually more enjoyable?

On 12 May 1978, Kate made her debut on Dutch television in a program that has gotten to be known as “De Efteling Special”. The amusement park De Efteling served as a backdrop for six songs of The Kick Inside: Moving, Wuthering Heights, Them Heavy People, Strange Phenomena, The Man With The Child In His Eyes, and The Kick Inside. On 10 May 1978, the Efteling was ready to open the Haunted Castle, the most expensive attraction it had ever constructed (designed by Ton van der Ven), and they wanted to promote it. In April a documentary featuring the Haunted Castle was made by filmmaker Rien van Wijk, who was eager to shoot in the latest attraction before it officially opened. Kate, who just had a big hit with Wuthering Heights, was approached for a television special that would promote both Efteling and her songs. This is the original broadcast of May 12, 1978. The original 16m film is lost; this is a copy of the uMatic version that is the only version left.

A strange figure with a top hat and a long beard walks through the forest, muttering to himself. On his back he carries a huge bundle of branches. When he picks up a twig from the ground, he feels it carefully, examines it closely, and then smiles like a child! He puts the twig safely in his pocket. "I'll write that down tonight," he mutters. The Fairy Tale Collector is a wonderful character from the exciting book of the same name by Princess Laurentien and author Paul van Loon, which was published in 2014 in collaboration with Efteling. Join us for an enchanting fairy tale about the magic of imagination...

Van Spinsel Tot Sprookje - Robert-Jaap Jansen

50 Years Fairytales in the Efteling is a documentary from 2002 about the history of the Efteling, in honor of the golden jubilee. Like Dreaming with Open Eyes, this documentary was also composed and directed by Nathalie Toisuta. It mainly consists of interviews with (relatives of) Efteling stars, supported by many archive images. The forty-minute program was broadcast on Nederland 2 in 2002 by TROS. The commentary is by Thom Hoffman.

A unique look behind the scenes during the conception and development of the Fata Morgana dark ride in amusement park Efteling. Former employees share their memories and these stories are illustrated by a great many photos and video fragments, including never-before-seen footage of the construction, unique design drawings and a glimpse into various technical manuscripts.
