Erinnerungen eines Waldes

Frieda is on the verge of an academic career: a job offer at the university promises independence. Her grandmother's spruce forest after her sudden death, she is confronted with her family's financial plight. She tries to save the indebted farm by selling wood, but the forest is infested with bark beetles. She then is faced with a decision: carrying on with her inheritance, or going her own way?
