After getting a suggestion from the audience, the monologist shares off-the-cuff thoughts, feelings, and true stories. The Big Team (formerly known as White Women) is an improv team of all Black men based in Los Angeles. Formed after meeting at the UCB Black History Month Show in 2013, the team has headlined festivals in Portland, DC, Austin, New York, and beyond — performing at theaters across the country for over a decade. Collectively they have written and produced videos for Comedy Central, College Humor, and Funny or Die. Individually, they’ve written and acted in a lot of your favorite TV shows. improv4humans is a comedy platform from one of the founders of modern improv, Matt Besser. Together with longtime producer and engineer Brett Morris, i4h is dedicated to presenting the very best in improvised comedy, supporting performers, and teaching the craft to the next generation. Besser is a founding member of the groundbreaking sketch group and Comedy Central series The Upright Citizens Brigade, and co-founder of the world-renowned UCB Theatre and training center — which has launched the careers of countless household names in comedy. Gilang is an extra actor with 10 years in the film industry but has been blacklisted by many directors due to his excessive effort. He struggles financially and loves actress Rachel Hesington, who is dating a rising actor, Kevin Sumitro. During a shooting, Kevin is kidnapped by Mr. Chen, who mistakes Gilang for Kevin. Gilang, Rachel, and the director are also taken. Gilang uses his experiences to conquer various challenges.
