Sean Connery

Biography

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Johnny Carrillo was born in Millinocket, Maine, USA. A graduate and company member of New York's prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Johnny is best known for his work inspiring, producing, and co-starring in the semi-autobiographical film, Meth Head (2013), distributed by Random Media. He then went on to produce and co-star in the horror satire, Crazy Bitches (2014), distributed by Gravitas Ventures. Jean-Michel Larqué

Biography

Jean-Michel Larqué (born 8 September 1947) is a French former professional footballer, and now a sports journalist. He has also been player-coach of RC Paris, his only experience as head-coach. Larqué was born in Bizanos, Pyrénées-Atlantiques. As a player, Larqué played as a midfielder, and was one of the most important players for AS Saint-Étienne in the 1960s and 70s where he won all his titles. He finished his playing career in Paris with Paris Saint-Germain and RC Paris. He holds the joint–record for most Ligue 1 titles won (seven), along with his Saint-Étienne teammate Hervé Revelli, as well as Thiago Silva and Marco Verratti of Paris Saint–Germain, and Grégory Coupet, Juninho, and Sidney Govou of Lyon. After having retired as a player, he became a football journalist: redactor for Onze Mondial magazine, but also on the radio Radio Monte Carlo with his programme, Larqué foot and on TV where he is a commentator. Between 1980 and 1984 he commented football matches on Antenne 2 and between 1985 and 2005 on TF1 with Thierry Roland. With the departure of Thierry Roland for M6, TF1 chose Thierry Gilardi (died on 25 March 2008) of Canal+ to comment with Larqué. His style is notable for his constant repetition of the same phrase. In 1983, he also created training schools for young footballers from 7 to 19 where came Florent Malouda, Bruno Cheyrou, Benoït Cheyrou and Fabrice Fernandes. Arthur Wimperis

Biography

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Arthur Harold Wimperis (3 December 1874 – 14 October 1953) was an English playwright, lyricist and screenwriter, who contributed lyrics and libretti to popular Edwardian musical comedies written for the stage. But with the advent of talking films, he switched to screenwriting, finding even greater success in this medium. Early in his career, Wimperis was an illustrator. For 25 years beginning in 1906, he became a lyricist and librettist for musical comedies, including the hit The Arcadians in 1909 and many others. After serving in the First World War, he resumed his career, writing for shows like Princess Charming (1926). Beginning in 1930, he moved into writing screenplays for British films, and, by 1940, for Hollywood films, contributing to dozens of screenplays. He won an Academy Award for his contribution to the screenplay of Mrs. Miniver (1942) and was nominated for another Oscar for his contribution to the screenplay of Random Harvest (1942). He continued writing screenplays until his death.

Märt Pius (born February 4, 1989) is an Estonian stage, television, and film actor whose career began in the 2010s. Märt Pius was born in Tallinn to Jüri and Nelli Pius (née Paap). His twin brother is actor Priit Pius. He has one older brother, as well as two half-siblings from his father's previous marriage. He grew up in and attended schools in Tallinn before the family moved to the small village of Mällikvere in Jõgeva County, where he graduated from secondary school in 2008. Afterward, both he and his twin brother Priit enrolled in the Performing Arts Department of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre to study acting, graduating in 2012. Pius' diploma production roles included Edward Tudor in Mark Twain's The Prince and the Pauper and Aapo in Aleksis Kivi's Seven Brothers. Märt Pius had been in a long-term relationship with actress Saara Kadak since 2015. On 9 June 2019, Pius and Kadak married. The couple have a daughter, born on 25 March 2017, and a son, born 31 May 2020.[10] The family currently reside in Tallinn. Both Märt and Priit Pius have been diagnosed with Diabetes mellitus type 1 and speak openly about living with the condition in order to raise awareness of the illness.
