The band began recording their seventh studio album in August 2010 with producer Butch Vig, who had previously produced the two new tracks for the band's Greatest Hits album. The album was recorded in Dave Grohl's garage using only analog equipment. A documentary on the band's history, Back and Forth, was released theatrically on April 5 along with a live 3-d performance of the album Wasting Light. While most theaters viewed the show in its entirety, some theaters had technical issues and the band rescheduled to have Back And Forth played on April 14, 2011. On April 13, 2011, the band performed the entire album live from Dave Grohl's Studio 606 and uploaded it to YouTube in its entirety.

Beth Hart delivered a fierce, emotionally exposed performance at Pinkpop 2005, combining blues-rock power with raw vulnerability. Her gritty vocals, commanding piano playing and intense stage presence drove songs such as “Leave the Light On,” “Broken & Ugly,” “Bottle of Jesus” and “Lifts You Up.” Backed by a forceful band, she shifted from intimate confession to explosive rock energy, creating a memorable festival set that captured both her musical strength and deeply personal songwriting power.

Robert Plant and The Sensational Space Shifters delivered a vibrant and spirited performance at Pinkpop 2014. Classic Led Zeppelin songs such as Black Dog, Going to California, Ramble On, and Whole Lotta Love were given new arrangements incorporating blues, folk, African rhythms, and psychedelic rock. Plant sang with power, playfulness, and effortless authority, while the band created a rich, dynamic sound. The concert demonstrated how he could pay tribute to his past without getting stuck in nostalgia. The result was timeless.
