Bea Arthur: The Documentary

An intimate portrait of the actress celebrated for "Maude," "The Golden Girls" and "Mame." Built around a previously unseen interview conducted by producer and director Dan Watt, the film traces Arthur’s path from The New School and New York theatre to Broadway and television. Through Arthur’s own reflections and interviews with colleagues and close friends, the documentary looks beyond the tall, hilariously brassy public persona to reveal a woman who was also sensitive, vulnerable, compassionate and deeply committed to the people and causes she valued.
