The storyline in *City of Snakes* is where Drew Spence's project truly shines. The transformation journey from Marcus Griffin to Dynamics Plus has many layers, and it is paced well. In addition, the decision to blend an ancient Roman universe with that of early medieval times adds realism to the mythology, which is not a cliché fantasy adventure. It delivers on the promise made at the start of legends that must be lived to be believed. The music is impressive throughout. The music composed for Fallout Shelter by Spence himself and the original score from the same film give it an integrated feel that does not distract from the story Where the film runs into trouble is the visuals. The AI-generated and AI-enhanced elements are noticeable in a way that pulls you out of the moment; small details like fire and lighting effects come across as unstable or inconsistent, and several shots have a soft, blurred quality that makes it harder to fully settle into a scene. For example, at the 47:37 minute, the woman's shawl appears to dramatically fall on her shoulders. It's not that the AI use is hidden poorly; Spence is upfront about it; it's that the visual execution doesn't yet match the ambition of the story it's telling. In short: a genuinely strong story and a well-built soundscape held back by picture quality that still needs refinement. Probably if there is a way of not making it seem so AI-obvious.

There is a tendency to approach AI-generated filmmaking with a certain level of skepticism. Too often the results feel like disconnected visual experiments rather than genuine storytelling. That is what makes Drew Spence's Age of Forgotten Heroes: City of Snakes such an interesting surprise. While the film never completely escapes the limitations of the technology behind it, it represents one of the most substantial leaps forward in AI-assisted narrative filmmaking that I've encountered. The result is an ambitious fantasy adventure that is equal parts fascinating, uneven, and undeniably imaginative.
