The film is an anthology with adaptations of stories written by renowned Malayalam fiction writers Basheer, M. T. Vasudevan Nair and Madhavikutty (Kamala Surayya).. The stories have been tweaked to fit in a modern setting and the script has been conceived by the director himself.

Vinayan is a young man, who works as an operator in Sreedevi Talkies, an old 'C' class cinema theatre. The owner of the theatre is Madhavan Nair, who is also the godfather of Vinayan. The effects of globalisation start reflecting in the functioning of the theatre.
