Follows the story of "Grizzly Man" Timothy Treadwell and what the thirteen summers in a National Park in Alaska were like in his attempt to protect the grizzly bears. The film is full of unique images and a look into the spirit of a man who sacrificed himself for nature.

University of Washington professor Noam Pianko and his students collaborated with Citizen Film, the Pacific Northwest Jewish Archive and Seattle’s Jewish Community Federation to unpack and digitize archival photos and documents, then turn them into shareable digital content.

Housing and Economic Rights Advocates (HERA) is a California statewide, not-for-profit legal service and advocacy organization. HERA’s mission is to ensure that all people are protected from discrimination and economic abuses, especially in the realm of housing. Between the Lines is a visually lyrical experimental documentary about women who cut themselves. The film is about gray areas in women’s relationship to their bodies in the context of deliberate self-harm. The women in this film negotiate the fine lines between self-destructive behavior and self-preserving coping mechanisms, as well as personal marking and the record keeping of experiences that defy language.

Kirkwood Award made to an individual in recognition of outstanding community service, commitment and inspired leadership. Sylvia has spearheaded social and economic development opportunities that empower individuals to improve their economic lives. Her innovative, passionate, and collaborative spirit enables immigrants to bring their own families out of poverty. Sylvia has founded organizations including CARECEN, Community Bank of the Bay, and AnewAmerica and received a San Francisco Foundation award in 2010.

The San Francisco Foundation 2013 Community Leadership Awards presents Reverend Michael McBride with the John R. May Award, made for initiatives in response to a significant contemporary problem. Reverend Michael McBride has tirelessly sought to address the alarming epidemic of gun violence, leading a local and national push to dramatically decrease gun violence and mass incarceration. He was one of 12 faith leaders asked to meet with and make recommendations to Vice President Joe Biden in order to help shape President Obama's gun violence prevention policy, and was just recently named one of 13 faith leaders to watch in 2013 by the Center for American Progress.

The San Francisco Foundation 2013 Community Leadership Awards presents Nancy Hom with the Helen Crocker Russell Award, made to an under-recognized, mature artist who has made a significant and ongoing contribution in the Bay Area. Nancy Hom, has used the arts as a means to reclaim and affirm the histories, struggles, and contributions of multicultural and underserved communities. Through her silkscreen posters, illustrations, 3-D installations, and curatorial work, Nancy has addressed a range of social issues and causes. In addition to being an artist, curator, and writer who continues to push the boundaries of her art after forty years, she has also nurtured the artistic and organizational growth of over a dozen Bay Area arts organizations.
