After standing in as best man for his longtime friend Carl Petersen, Randy Dupree loses his job, becomes a barfly and attaches himself to the newlywed couple almost permanently -- as their houseguest. But the longer Dupree camps out on their couch, the closer he gets to Carl's bride, Molly, leaving the frustrated groom wondering when his pal will be moving out.

Woody Woodpecker spends his day singing loudly and pecking holes in trees. He infuriates the other woodland creatures - when he isn't baffling them with his bizarre behavior. Will is a 30-something website manager who uses local café, Coffee Town, as his office. When the owners of the shop discuss plans to convert Coffee Town into a bar, Will enlists the help of his two best friends Chad and Gino to save his freeloading existence. In order to thwart the plans of Coffee Town's owners, the trio stages a robbery to create the illusion of an unsafe neighborhood not suitable for the proposed venue. Also standing in their way is Sam, a disgruntled barista with delusions of grandeur and Will's heartache over unrequited love for Becca.

Woody Woodpecker is a guest at a television show and walks off with a space helmet and a space gun as souvenirs. He pretends to be a man from Mars, and is believed to the extent that he is caught and sent to an atomic laboratory for testing, which convinces the scientists he does belong on Mars.

Woody Woodpecker is running a babysitting service and is offered $50 by a couple if he will look after their baby. Woody jumps at the chance. Unfortunately, turns out the baby is an infant gorilla!

Out of work, Woody complains about his not having any living quarters. A slick talking con man convinces him to buy some "magic beans" promising they will guarantee him a home. Sure enough, Woody climbs the resulting beanstalk and finds a huge castle at the top. Unfortunately, the castle is already occupied by a sleeping giant who Woody eventually outwits, turning his castle into a series of apartments with the giant as a bellboy and Woody as his manager.

George the woodsman's wife, fed up with life in the wilderness, shows him an ad for an expensive fancy hat. She then kicks him out of his log cabin and sends him on a quest to trap Woody Woodpecker and obtain his feathers to make such a hat.

Despite a 'No Trespassing' sign, an irritable gopher, and an obvious lack of skill, Woody is determined to play some croquet.

Lazy Dodsworth the Cat wants to catch a woodpecker for his breakfast. The woodpecker has built its home inside the upper trunk of a very tall tree, and Dodsworth puts on a professor's cap, pretending to be a passive teacher of bird-catching and thereby deceive an eager-to-learn kitten into doing the perilous ascending of the tree to try to catch the woodpecker.
