Mere seconds before the Earth is to be demolished by an alien construction crew, Arthur Dent is swept off the planet by his friend Ford Prefect, a researcher penning a new edition of "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy."

A couple of angels, O'Reilly and Jackson, are sent to Earth to make sure that their next supervised love-connection succeeds. They follow Celine, a spoiled rich girl who has just accidentally shot a suitor and, due to a misunderstanding, is kidnapped by janitor Robert. Although Celine quickly frees herself, she stays with Robert for thrills. O'Reilly and Jackson pursue, hoping to unite the prospective lovers.

The gang unsuspectedly gets their robot to mow the lawn at Froggy's house, but with a signal from Slicker, Boxcar runs amok and mows down everything in his path. Froggy gets to explain what happened to his parents who bust up the fraud and get the miscreants to work with the gang to clean up the mess.

Astronauts search for solutions to save a dying Earth by searching on Mars, only to have the mission go terribly awry.

When gigantic robots attack New York City, "Sky Captain" uses his private air force to fight them off. Pepe Le Pew, the eternally amorous skunk, is in Paris, where his stench sends a female cat upward to hit a freshly painted flagpole, which puts a white stripe on her back and causes Pepe to think she also is a skunk. He lustfully pursues her into the Louvre art gallery.
