Madhan Bob

Biography

S. Krishnamoorthy, better known by his screen name Madhan Bob, is a Tamil comedian and actor. He started his film career as a musician and then became an actor. Apart from appearing in supporting roles in Tamil films, he also appeared in the Sun TV comedy show Asathapovathu Yaaru as one of the judges. His debut film was Vaaname Ellai. He also taught music to M. M. Keeravani. Bob was the eighth child in his family, so he was named Krishnamurthy, which also happened to be his uncle’s name. There was a lot of confusion in the house, so they changed his name to Madan. His's brother’s name is Padmanabhan aka Babu. Both started a music group called ‘Madan and Babu’. Soon, Babu became Bob, and that is how director K. Balachander introduced him in his first film. During the shooting of Mappillai, Bob was injured in an accident. His assistant was also with him. When the car was nearing Vagaikulam, a dog crossed the road. In order to avoid hitting the dog, the driver applied a sudden brake. Because of this, the car capsized. Bob, his assistant, and the driver were seriously injured. However, Bob managed to break the glass door and save the driver and his assistant. The three were taken to a hospital for treatment. After the treatment, Bob participated in the shooting.

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Biography

Sathyaraj is an Indian film actor and media personality who has predominantly appeared in Tamil films. He started his career in villainous roles and later played lead roles. He has acted in over 200 films, which include a few Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi and Kannada films as well. He is known for his performance in Amaidhi Padai, Nadigan, Periyar E. V. Ramasamy, the Tamil Nadu government-sponsored film Periyar among others. He was also the director of the film Villadhi Villain (1995), starring himself in three different roles. Apart from his film career, Sathyaraj has been vocal in the media about various issues, such as Sri Lankan Tamil nationalism and water rights in Tamil Nadu. In 2011, he had a brief career as a television host for the game show Home Sweet Home on STAR Vijay. He has also served as a brand ambassador for Pothys and Kumaran Jewelry Shop.

Brilliant Suleyman gizi Dadashova (Azerbaijani: Brilliant Dadaşova) is an Azerbaijani pop singer. Dadashova first appeared on stage in 1985 with the songs by Azerbaijani composer Eldar Mansurov. In 1986, she participated in the annual International Youth Festival in Moscow. Two years later, she won the prestigious All-Union Pop Singers Contest, a singing competition among representatives of the republics of the Soviet Union. In 1990, she graduated from the Azerbaijan National Culture and Arts Institute. She is one of the few pop singers native to Azerbaijan to have played outside of their home country. Dadashova's concert venues included the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Russia, and Turkey.

Lynda Ann Wiesmeier (May 30, 1963 – December 16, 2012) was an American model and actress. Wiesmeier was selected as both cover model and Playmate of the Month for the July 1982 issue of Playboy magazine, and her centerfold was photographed by Richard Fegley. She also appeared in several Playboy newsstand special editions and videos, and worked steadily for Playboy for more than five years after she graced the magazine's fold-out page, first as a nude glamour and pin-up model, and then as a promotional model and a feature reporter for the Playboy Channel. She died in December 2012 due to a brain tumor.

Bryan Fogel is an American film director, producer, author, playwright, speaker and human rights activist, best known for the 2017 documentary Icarus, which won an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature at the 90th Academy Awards in 2018. The New York Times described Fogel's film Icarus as "Illuminating" and Variety magazine called it as "A Game Changing Documentary." Icarus premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, where it won U.S. Documentary Special Jury Award "The Orwell Award" and the first ever "Audience Choice" Award of Sundance Film Festival London. The film was acquired in a historic $5 million sale by Netflix and launched globally on August 4, 2017 and won its first Feature Documentary Oscar with Icarus. The evidence brought forward in Icarus through Russian whistle-blower Dr. Grigory Rodchenkov, was instrumental in the Olympic Committee's banning of Russia from the 2018 Winter Olympic Games. Fogel most recently has directed and produced the 2020 American documentary film The Dissident that follows the assassination of Jamal Khashoggi and Saudi Arabia's effort to control international dissent. It had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 24, 2020. It is scheduled to be released on December 18, 2020, by Briarcliff Entertainment. He currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.

Kasma Booty (born 1932-1 June 2007) was a Malaysian actress and film star. She was dubbed as the "Elizabeth Taylor of Malaysia." She was born Kasmah Abdullah in Kisaran, North Sumatra, Dutch East Indies (now Indonesia). She was of Dutch and Javanese descent. She began her acting and film career at the early age of 15. She ultimately changed her name to Kasma Booty after marrying her husband, Booty Jacobs. The couple had four children - Cempaka, Asmara, Purnama (her youngest child), and Suria, who is also deceased. She died on 1 June 2007 due to pneumonia and was surrounded by her children. She was 75 at the time and left behind 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Her body was buried at Kampung Klang Gate Cemetery.

Homa Rousta (Persian: هما روستا‎‎; 26 September 1946 – 26 September 2015) was an Iranian film and stage actress. She was the widow of stage director Hamid Samandarian. She graduated with a degree in theatre from the School of Dramatic Arts in Bucharest. She started her career in 1971. Her most famous performance was in From Karkheh to Rhine (1992), for which she was nominated for the best actress Simorgh at the Fajr Film Festival. She died of cancer on 26 September 2015 in a hospital in Los Angeles, California, United States. Her body was transferred to Iran and was buried at Behesht Zahra alongside her husband's grave.
