A Fighting Man

A young Congolese boxer, Samwa, and his older brother, Nourou, arrive in Brussels for the final of the Afro-European Middleweight Championship to fight against the Belgian title holder. Samwa trains heavily, despite some harsh conditions, under the authoritarian look of his brother. Until the day when the Belgian fight promoters, aware of the fact that the political situation gives the final a symbolical turn, order to Samwa to lose the fight. The day before the match, Samwa and Nourou watch Patrice Lumumba's independence's speech. Samwa decides not to give up but in this power's struggle, one of the brothers will betray the other one.

Eikichi Yamashiro, who is a former contender for the boxing title, works as a manager at a Club Champion owned by his fiancé Natsuko’s father. He lost a title match five years ago as he was besotted by Natsuko, but Eikichi actually cannot give up the dream of the championship. A former boxer takes on one more fight after his brother dies in the ring

King, a champion of the fighting organization, lives, trains, and fights under one roof with his roommate Sam. They compete weekly in grueling matches that leave them bruised and battered. Their landlord and promoter promises to get them away from this lifestyle for bigger and better opportunities on the condition that they continue to push themselves for another fight. The roommates face their toughest battles during recovery while pushing each other to continue training for their next bouts.
