Following his win over John Cena at SummerSlam, Daniel Bryan lost the WWE Championship to Randy Orton after special guest referee and COO Triple H hit Bryan with a Pedigree. Can Daniel Bryan overcome the modern day corporate Champion Randy Orton to regain the WWE Championship? Plus, Alberto Del Rio defends his World Heavyweight Championship against Mr. PPV himself, Rob Van Dam! Can the former WWE and ECW Champion add the World Heavyweight Championship to his impressive list of accolades? Also, things go from bad to worse for Paul Heyman as he has to step into the ring with former best friend CM Punk! After his crushing defeat to Brock Lesnar at Summerslam the straight edge superstar finally gets the chance to get his hands on Heyman, however he has to get past Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel first in a two on one handicap match. All the action this year comes from the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan.

Over the Limit (2010) was a PPV presented by Axe Hair, which took place on May 23, 2010 at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan. It was the first event promoted under the Over the Limit name. In the main event from the Raw brand, John Cena faced Batista for the WWE Championship, while The Big Show versus World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger was the main event from the SmackDown brand. Matches on the undercard included Randy Orton against Edge, CM Punk facing Rey Mysterio, and Drew McIntyre defending the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Kofi Kingston. Other championships defended at the event were the WWE Divas Championship and the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship. The event drew 197,000 pay-per-view buys, and was attended live by 11,000 people. Five wrestlers sustained legitimate injuries during the course of the show.

Spring Stampede 2000 took place on April 16, 2000 from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. The main event was a series of tournaments for the vacant WCW Championships. The previous week on Nitro, all titles were vacated and put on the line at this PPV. Rather than list matches, here were the finalists for each title. The US Championship contenders were The Wall, Sting, Scott Steiner, Ernest Miller, Mike Awesome, Booker, Billy Kidman, and Vampiro. Tag Team Championship contenders were Harlem Heat 2000, Shane Douglas & Buff Bagwell, Team Package (Flair & Luger), The Harris Brothers, and The Mamalukes. The Cruiserweight title was up for grabs in a Suicide Six-Way match and Norman Smiley competed against Terry Funk for the Hardcore Championship. The World Heavyweight Championship was between Diamond Dallas Page and Jeff Jarrett.

Slamboree 2000 took place on May 7, 2000 at Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Missouri. The main event was a Ready to Rumble Cage match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship with David Arquette & Diamond Dallas Page defending the title against Jeff Jarrett. Also on the card was Billy Kidman vs Hulk Hogan with Eric Bischoff as the special guest referee, Vampiro vs Sting, Ric Flair vs Shane Douglas, The Total Package vs Buff Bagwell, Mike Awesome vs Chris Kanyon, Scott Steiner defending the WCW United States Championship against Captain Rection, Shawn Stasiak vs Curt Hennig, Norman Smiley & Ralphus vs Terry Funk defending the WCW Hardcore Championship, and Chris Candido defending the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against The Artist.

The Great American Bash (2000) took place on June 11, 2000 at the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland. The main event was Jeff Jarrett defending the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Kevin Nash with Ernest Miller as the special guest enforcer. Bash at the Beach 2000 took place on July 9, 2000 from the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. The main event was initially Jeff Jarrett versus Hulk Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, however a second world title match was held impromptu later in the evening. This has often been debated as to if it was a scripted event by Russo or not. Also on the card was Goldberg vs Kevin Nash, Buff Bagwell vs Shane Douglas, Vampiro vs The Demon in a Graveyard match, Scott Steiner defending the WCW United States Championship against Mike Awesome, Booker T vs Kanyon, The Perfect Event (Shawn Stasiak & Chuck Palumbo) defending the WCW World Tag Team Titles against KroniK, Ms. Hancock vs Daffney in a Wedding Gown match, Big Vito vs Norman Smiley & Ralphus for the WCW Hardcore Championship, and Lt. New Blood Rising was a professional wrestling pay-per-view produced by World Championship Wrestling that replaced WCW's August PPV event Road Wild. It took place on August 13, 2000 from the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, British Columbia. The name is a reference to the New Blood faction within WCW. The main event was Booker T defending the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Jeff Jarrett. Another primary match was a Triple Threat match between Goldberg, Kevin Nash, and Scott Steiner. Hell in a Cell (2013) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by WWE and sponsored by WWE 2K14. It took place on October 27, 2013 at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida. It was the fifth annual Hell in a Cell event. The main feud heading into Hell in a Cell was between Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton over the vacant WWE Championship. A second main event featured John Cena returning from injury much earlier than anticipated to face Alberto Del Rio for his World Heavyweight Championship. The third primary feud pits CM Punk against Paul Heyman and his wrestler clients, with CM Punk winning a match and forcing Paul Heyman to join Ryback in a handicap Hell in a Cell match against Punk.

Souled Out 2000 took place on January 16, 2000 from the Firstar Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. The originally scheduled card was heavily changed, due to the serious injuries of Bret Hart and Jeff Jarrett. Hart, who was scheduled to wrestle Sid Vicious, suffered a severe concussion at Starrcade, which forced him to vacate the WCW World Heavyweight title, and eventually retire nine months later. Jarrett, who was scheduled to wrestle Chris Benoit in a Triple Threat Theater series (Dungeon Rules, Bunkhouse, Caged Heat), suffered lingering headaches from Benoit's diving headbutt off the top of the steel cage on the January 10 episode of WCW Monday Nitro, which forced him to vacate the WCW United States Heavyweight title. Benoit was instead moved to take Hart's place against Vicious and the Triple Threat Theater series was contested between Billy Kidman and three separate wrestlers.
