> You know the story, but with the different actors and settings! Once a pride actor, now he's doing lots of low cost quick films. The II and III tier directors and producers trying to get the best use of their golden opportunities. So the Nicolas Cage into this after the legal struggle in real life, but people have different opinion without knowing the truth. He definitely would come back to his old form, but it's not known when. All these his recent B films just somewhat shines because of having him onboard. So this flick as well too ordinary and stupid, though watchable because of the Cage. The story was maybe a hundredth adaptation. Anybody with the knowledge of the decent horror films can predict the entire narration. But the different cast, setting, et cetera makes it worth a watch. Definitely not scary or the suspenseful, yet everybody tried their best to make the product better. Only the first half, mostly the first quarter was the better part of the film. So if you pick it on the basis of the story, you will be disappointed badly. This film is not worth unless you're a Cage's fan who backs him every time or love to take chances on the B films. Overall film was okay, but I think the end should have been better. I might have said a few good things about it, but I can't recommend it. 4/10

A first time watch: I know him for The Mists of Avalon miniseries from 2001 An TV movies: King of Texas and Purgatory Along with Just the year before in 2014 the miniseries Houdini Starring Adrian Brody... German Director Uli Edel filmed Pay The Ghost In 2015. Nicholas Cage and Sarah Wayne Callies play Mike and Kirsten Lawford a husband and wife that one night on Halloween they loose their son Charlie. Little do they know that they are unwittingly involved in a centuries old curse of the ghost of a woman who was burned at the stake for witchcraft who claimed she’d come back and take three children every Halloween. Mike has the chance to save his son before midnight but will the ghost allow him in time to? I thought this film was brilliant it had creepy, character and a well thought out plot... the effects of the children appearing suddenly was brilliant as well as the moment the one blonde librarian was leaving to go home and she was physically knocked out the window to her death... that scene was freaky and the defects of the body of the psychic where she apparently was burned from the inside out that was even creepier I didn’t expect her to die just thought she’d react strongly... Even the leader in the graffitied building was an interestingly weird character that built the atmosphere... definitely a ride to say the least and was entertaining I recommend this film... as for the acting it was as top notch as you could get with Cage Involved I feel we got his all in here.
