Curse of Mardi Gras

A down-and-out Brooklyn detective is hired to track down a singer on an odyssey that will take him through the desperate streets of Harlem, the smoke-filled jazz clubs of New Orleans, and the swamps of Louisiana and its seedy underworld of voodoo.

The film deals with the supernatural and starts with the death of a criminal (Mantra Shiba ) in a shoot out . Before dying, through his supernatural powers, he implants his spirit into the body of a talking doll. This talking doll is stolen and sold at a cheaper price to a young working widowed woman, who buys it for her young son as a birthday gift .

A woman goes back to the island where her parents were killed. They had been working on a cure for cancer and accidentally raised the dead by angering a voodoo priest. With the woman is a group of mercenaries and they meet up with some other researchers. They raise the dead again and all hell breaks loose
