Queen Noor: Between Two Realms

Born Lisa Halaby, Queen Noor of Jordan became an international figure with her marriage to King Hussein in 1978. In a short four years, she went from being a cheerleader at Princeton to monarch of an Islamic, Middle Eastern country. Although the transition was difficult, scholars, reporters and friends reveal, Noor made the transformation successfully and, since the death of her husband, has become an articulate vessel of Jordanian policy.
