A vampire in London is searching for the ideal woman to 'redeem' him.

In 1988, Richard Conley (Joe Estevez) and Curt Wade (Rod McCary) reminisce about June Michels, the love of their lives. In flashback scenes originally filmed in 1971, June is played by Alexandra Hay and Richard is played by Martin Sheen.

Ramón Sampedro is a ship mechanic and part-time poet left a quadriplegic following a diving accident. Ramón fought for 30 years for the legal right to end his own life. He develops close relationships with his long-term lawyer Julia and his friend Rosa, who tries to convince him that his life is worth living. Elinor hears this, and without asking questions, leaves him and marries another man the same night.

As a group of university students go out for a night on the town, a sophomore known only as "The Girl with Black Hair" experiences a series of surreal encounters with the local nightlife – all the while unaware of the romantic longings of "Senpai", a senior student who has been creating increasingly fantastic and contrived reasons to run into her in an effort to win her heart.
