The film is about Azerbaijanian and Uzbekistan's cotton-growers contest and about two young people's love.

Film exposes the corruption and the decadence of the late Soviet bureaucracy in Azerbaijan SSR through the eyes of a naive Azerbaijani adult man, Hatem.

Popularly known by the name of the main character, "Mashadi Ibad" was based on a musical comedy by composer Uzeyir Hajibeyov and written in the early 1900s. The story is based on the age old-theme of a beautiful young woman Gulnaz who falls in love with a young man Sarvar but is obliged to marry someone else.

The werewolves that live in this secluded place are particularly savage: when not attacking anything that moves, they spend their time arguing and fighting. For the talented but poor character Rustam, this lamp shatters the sky. With the help of jinn, the young man suceeds: his play is made on anchor; his girlfriend, Maya (Natalia Tagiyeva), agrees to marry him, and the bar is in the apartment. But Rustam wants to achieve everything. When the jinn throws away his "owner," he unveils the secret: a person must believe in his own power, and there must be a strong desire to create miracles.

A young craftsman Shamil lives in a small town. Everyone respects him for his good hat-making skills and his kind and cheerful disposition. He falls in love with the daughter of a wealthy merchant, Kamyab, and she loves him back. But the father doesn’t want his daughter to marry a poor man. Shamil’s friends help him kidnap the girl. However, the friends betray Shamil for the sake of money and the operation fails.
