Green Day: Heart Like a Hand Grenade

A documentary that explores the making and impact of Green Day's third album Dookie, which was released in 1994 and became a worldwide phenomenon.

Green Day’s headlining performance at Coachella 2025 on April 12, 2025 was a high-energy spectacle that blended their punk rock roots with bold political statements. The band delivered an 18-song set featuring classics like “American Idiot,” “Jesus of Suburbia,” and “Holiday,” while also incorporating new material and unexpected covers. Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong used the opportunity to modify lyrics, expressing criticism of current American President Donald Trump, voicing support for Palestinian rights, and referencing the suffering in Gaza.

Green Day performs their entire American Idiot album in front of a mostly small and intimate live audience, and tell stories about their music, writing experiences and memories. Filmed in Culver City, California.

Disease is Punishment is a live DVD featuring songs from The Network's first album Money Money 2020. The project, directed by John Roecker, with visuals & music videos directed/produced by Roy Miles of AntiDivision, was conceptualized to be a more a film than a concert DVD, as evidenced by the collages in between songs. The bulk of the material in the film was recorded live at The Key Club in Los Angeles on November 22, 2003, with many post-production shots mixed in with the live clips. The title itself, "Disease is Punishment," could be a very obscure reference to the band Devo, who the Network is heavily influenced by.

"Green Day: The Early Years" chronicles the rise of the world's most influential punk band, from their origins playing shows at Berkley's notorious Gilman Street venue in the late 80s, through the release of the platinum-selling Dookie in 1994.

Russians bombarded Bucha, Borodyanka, Irpin and other cities in the region following their invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. By the time they retreated a month later, the damage was huge: buildings had been destroyed and there were corpses lying in the streets. Filmmakers Mila Teshaieva and Marcus Lenz went in immediately, in time to film local people emerging from their shelters, but never showing the actual atrocities. That wasn’t necessary, as the trauma of war is clear to see on everyone’s faces, including those of the volunteers who rushed in from far and wide to help.
