This metaphorical surrealist tale is an allusion. NIGHTINGALES IN DECEMBER is a trip into the memories, and the fields of the current realities. What if the Nightingales were working, instead of singing and going south? Is the innocence the only savior of birdsongs? There are no Nightingales in December... What is left, is only the history of our beginning, and our end.

Evoking childish fascination at daily rituals, this quotidian act amidst feminine intimacy becomes a space of otherworldly fantasy.

Prelude 14 begins in deep brilliant red which darkens into deeper reds and lavender shapes, disrupted by a variety of colors settling into browns and grays and shapes most rock-like, all of which is then shot-thru with sufficient yellow to break up all hard-edge form and give a molten aspect to the mixtures of shapes.

TRAUMA is a collaborative film project by Jesse Kanda and Arca first partially exhibited at MoMA PS1 at the end of 2013. The film follows a nonlinear narrative about the death of a salaryman, a drunk driving infant and takes place within a subconscious world. TRAUMA's score will span through Arca's existing and future works.

The hilarious hour-long episode follows the bipolar, beer-swilling dog, Barkley, and the Critters, the band he fronts. His rocker menagerie includes a vulture, a snake, a tracksuit-clad paranoid schizophrenic crow, a Buckethead-esque farm boy on harmonica, and a manic- depressive canine drummer.

Victor is stuck in a low-budget airliner next to a shamelessly intrusive stranger. The crackling candy wrapper, the smacking of the lips, oh, he thinks, just give me a break. No, he doesn't want candy, thank you very much. Victor isn't hungry. But there's no escape, thirty-five thousand feet in the air. So, just keep breathing.

"Frozen Jumper" begins in hit-and-run style with a pulsating textural noise. Flickering, nearly rectangular patterns join on the image plane, at first in black-and-white, bringing to mind the sprocket holes in celluloid film and, not least due to the lack of geometric precision, giving the impression of a pre-digital origin. As the soundtrack rattles on in a minimalistic way, the pattern’s twitchy dance is submerged in various warm hues such as yellow, pink, light green and light blue, which in a different rhythm and to a more agreeable music could be perceived as the signature of slightly retro psychedelia.

Barry Doupé’s Thalé (2009) experiments with the phenomenology of light and colour through fiber-optic flower arrangements. Doupé’s animations are inspired by the Thale Cress plant, which is commonly used in biological mutation experiments. Barry B. Benson, a bee who has just graduated from college, is disillusioned at his lone career choice: making honey. On a special trip outside the hive, Barry's life is saved by Vanessa, a florist in New York City. As their relationship blossoms, he discovers humans actually eat honey, and subsequently decides to sue us.
