Jonas and the Sea

A modern adaptation of the classic children's story 'Alice through the Looking Glass', which continued on from the popular 'Alice in Wonderland' story. This time Alice is played by the mother, who falls asleep while reading the the bedtime story to her daughter. Walking through the Looking Glass, Alice finds herself in Chessland, a magical and fun world. There she meets the Red and White Queens, as well as many other amusing friends on her journey across the chessboard countryside onto become a crowned queen.

In the 1930s, eccentric animal lover Trudy adopts a sickly baby gorilla named Buddy and raises him alongside chimpanzees as if they were her human children. As Buddy grows into an 800-pound adult, his immense strength and unpredictable behavior lead to trouble, culminating in a chaotic incident at an exhibition.

Stuck in the Middle

On holiday with their mother in the Lake District in 1929 four children are allowed to sail over to the nearby island in their boat Swallow and set up camp for a few days. They soon realise this has been the territory of two other girls who sail the Amazon, and the scene is set for serious rivalry.

In one depot, two trams lived together. All day long, they traveled around the city, filling the streets with cheerful clatter, and they were happy. But in life, nothing lasts forever.

Men and women, all dressing up, awaiting, tempting, enjoying the bliss or sadly unsuccessful. Delights of the body, yearning, excitement, luxury, decadence, erotic of the common day. The erotic as frivolous, mischievous, frolic, comic and sometimes also slightly serious animated musical erotic fantasy. Much like the modern dance art, the film is marked by interplay of the visual and musical components – picture, rhythm, color, motion. The film consists of separate sequences, each of them accompanied by individual musical movements of Mr. Saint-Saens’s compo­sition.
