Wu Xiao Xue's world is turned upside-down by her artist father's affair and makes her mother hate anything to do with art. A fairy character she had drawn on the day her world flipped upside-down comes to life and acts as her imaginary companion and mentor. She secretly draws despite her mother's disapproval and joins an advertising company where she hopes to use her skills. Wu Xiao Xue tries to navigate the adulthood pressures of work, pleasing her mother, and her childhood crush Xu Zhao Chen with the help of her fairy friend. Will she be able to make her dreams come true?

In the quiet and picturesque Yarramalong Valley, Officers Henry and Brooks find a young woman wandering by the roadside, distraught from events she has just witnessed. Following a report of a possible crash site, the officers suspect the young woman is a survivor; taking her into their care they proceed to investigate. Within the undulating trees, not everything is as it seems. Who has come to Earth? Do we need a hero to save us all?

Four stories about Finnish life intersect. In the first one, drum artist Monkki Mähönen arrives for a renovation job at his old band mate's summer villa. Second story revolves around wannabe motorcycle gang and its leader Jouni who are being humiliated at a village shop. Thirdly in the 1960s, a star reporter Erkki "Likasanko" Sysimetsä starts writing a once in a lifetime story about the womanizing of Arvo Hakala, a pipe organ repair man. In the fourth story, a fantasy and sci-fi film director Kurt "Kurre" von Riikonen is looking for financing of his upcoming movie Excalibur IV with catastrophic consequences.
