Misuzu Moritani is an introvert who has always had difficulty interacting with her classmates, quickly becoming flustered whenever someone tries to talk to her. Sometimes, she will use her ability to stop time for three minutes to escape troublesome social situations. One day, as Misuzu watches the suspended environment around her, she observes that her classmate, Haruka Murakami, is somehow able to move despite her temporal influence. From that moment on, Misuzu experiences new wonders as she explores more of the world she has long avoided; no matter where time may take her, Misuzu can count on Haruka to always be at her side.

For Tamagawa, volunteering at a cat café is the only relief from his stressful job. The manager tells him to, "relax and learn to be spoiled," but he doesn't know what that means until a new customer, Rai Shindo, comes to the café and tells Tamagawa he wants to keep him as a cat! Morita Mayu, a high school girl. She is extremely reticent and her silence and habit of looking at people's eyes straightly sometimes cause misunderstanding. The reason behind it is not because she doesn’t like to talk nor because she has nothing to say. The reason she rarely speaks is due to the fact she thinks too much before speaking, thus losing the timing to speak altogether. But she lives a happy school life with her classmates.

Kenichi is an introvert and not very popular boy, so he never plays with the other children from school. Kenichi also has a secret crush on a young lady called Midori, yet he's too shy to speak to her. Though as he watches Hattori trying his best, he too begins to try. Meanwhile, people are being found unconscious, their bodies completely unmarked. All the victims have a tattoo (the Koga Ninja crest) and are found with a throwing knife lying close by.

Story takes place 2 years after "Chihayafuru Part 2" and Chihaya is now a high school senior.

“Patalliro! The Stage” is based on the popular manga series “Patalliro!” by Mineo Maya, which has been running since 1978. “Patalliro!” follows the adventures and mischiefs of Patalliro du Malyner VIII (knowns as Patalliro), who is the king of Malynera. His silly gag “Cock Robin Ondo” is well known from the ending song of the anime adaptation. Patalliro is played by Kato Ryo, one of the most influential and eccentric actors of his generation. The full cast except for Ryo was replaced for the latest show, providing a fresh take on the wacky world of “Patalliro!”. The story is based on “Misty London Airport”, one of the most iconic episodes of the original manga.
