The Light, Triptych of Modern Life

A quintet is an omnibus feature told from the perspective of five international up and coming filmmakers who are searching to find identity in the modern world. The five segments are : "Polaroid" by Roberto Cuzzillo; "Friend Request" by Elie Lamah; "The Cuddle Workshop" by Mauro Mueller; "The House in the Envelope" by Sanela Salketic; and "The Tourist" by Ariel Shaban.

A three-part omnibus drama that shows destinies of three grown men: first segment (Escape) is about a sculptor, the second segment (Shade) is about a loner, while the third segment (Ring) is about a movie star.

The film brings fresh visions of the seven young directors who were teenagers at the time of the overthrow of president Milosevic and his regime. On a personal and emotional way they show a complex picture of modern Serbia.

This omnibus movie tells different stories of first love: Hyeok-soo, who has been living a wasted life, falls in love with the hardworking Seo-yeon but their love is put to the test by a strange twist of fate. Yong-sik believes that physically intimacy is important while his girlfriend Hye-jeong doesn’t, and the two break up. But the two reunite a year later and feel attracted to each other. During a trip, Su-heui finds out that the woman staying in the room next door is her husband’s first love.

Commissioned by South Korea's National Human Rights Commission, If You Were Me is an innovative omnibus film project to promote tolerance and human rights and shed light on the hardships disadvantaged people face in Korea. After the success of the first anthology, a second series, If You Were Me 2, was released this year. Five notable Korean directors - Park Kyung Hee (A Smile), Ryoo Seung Wan (Crying Fist), Jung Ji Woo, Jang Jin (Guns & Talks), and Kim Dong Won - participated in the second installment, creating shorts on human rights issues of their choosing.

Segment "Duga ulica" (A Long Street): A young man named Boris and a girl, Vera, live in the same neighborhood. They meet one night when she loses her key. Boris invites her to spend the night at his place; Segment "Čekati" (To Wait): Married students, Ivan and Sonja, live in an old woman's apartment. She is sick and the couple hopes that she will die soon, so that they may inherit her apartment; Segment "Poslije predstave" (After the Play): A husband and a wife lose the key to their apartment and have to spend the night in a hotel. The experience is wonderful and renews their feelings for each other, if only for a night.

Five short stories of life's joys and sorrows are brought together in this omnibus drama from Japan.

Oki, a film student, gets involved in two relationships as she navigates the advances of a fellow student and grapples with her feelings for her much older professor.

Based on four early novellas by Noble Prize winner Yasunari Kawabata, this omnibus of four short films are by emerging directors from the second graduating class of the new Graduate School of Film and New Media at Japan’s top art school, Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music (Tokyo Geidai), where famed directors Takeshi Kitano and Kiyoshi Kurosawa teach.

Follows the course of three different and independent relationships. The first in which a man renews a relationship with a former girlfriend. In the second a couple suddenly decide to marry, while in the third a couple are getting a divorce.
