A man wakes from a coma speaking a fully formed but unrecognizable language baffling linguistic experts from around the globe.

Occupied France, 1942. Gilles is arrested by SS soldiers alongside other Jews and sent to a camp in Germany. He narrowly avoids sudden execution by swearing to the guards that he is not Jewish, but Persian. This lie temporarily saves him, but Gilles gets assigned a life-or-death mission: to teach Farsi to Head of Camp Koch, who dreams of opening a restaurant in Iran once the war is over. Through an ingenious trick, Gilles manages to survive by inventing words of "Farsi" every day and teaching them to Koch.

Bidhu, a family man, leads a content life with his two sons and four daughters. As the sole breadwinner of the family, Bidhu's life turns upside down when his son is diagnosed with tuberculosis.

Things couldn't be better for him until he learns that the department wants to retire him. He does so reluctantly. He then falls into a deep depression because, while most people look forward to retirement, he doesn't. So, his wife and children do their best to lift his spirits but all he does is push them away.
