At a time when nations are warring, a sword with mysterious power called "Heaven's Sword" is stolen. The sword is said to give its wielder the power to conquer the world. Various ninja all over Dokutake Castle and beyond also manuevering for this sword of immense power. Rantaro and his classmates are assigned to retrieve the stolen sword, their first real ninja mission.

Bayaya, a young peasant, protected by the spirit of his dead mother, arrives at the castle of the King, where he entertains his three daughters. Rintaro (Sometani Shota) returns home for the first time in a while to prepare for and attend his father's funeral. He and his sister are surprised to find that their mother has canceled the catering order, and instead will be making the food herself in accordance with her late husband's will. The first dish she brings out is simply sunny side up eggs, and the attendees are at a loss. Rintaro recalls that this was the first meal his father had cooked for him and his sister.

The Dean and Board of Flunk Well College are arguing with its football coach, Bergen, about the team's star player, Charlie McCarthy, who is the only reason the team is a winning one, but who isn't doing well academically and could be pulled from the team if his grades and behavior don't improve. In other words, Charlie is a dummy in more ways than one. Beyond other problems Coach Bergen has with Charlie concerning the coach's girlfriend Joan, Coach Bergen has to get Charlie prepared to pass an exam administered by the Dean. Instead of cheating like he usually does, Charlie has his own way of dealing with the exam.

Hosted by Terry Crews, the fifth annual "Red Nose Day" special showcased a night of music, comedy and Hollywood's biggest names. The star-studded evening featured performances including Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton and beloved comedic talent who will join the fun with their own entertaining Red Nose Day spin. Also, the reimagining of the classic Daryl Hall and John Oates hit "You Make My Dreams" with talent including Julianne Hough, Rob Gronkowski and "This Is Us" star Chrissy Metz. Sketches include Kate McKinnon and Lilly Singh. The highly anticipated short film "One Red Nose Day and a Wedding" as well as an appeals film with "This Is Us" star Milo Ventimiglia rounds out the event.
