John Moore, a young sea captain has a romance with Kay Wheeler, daughter of a trusted trader, "Pop" Wheeler, on a Pacific island. He also acquire the enmity of "Shanghai" Morgan, a notorious sea captain who shanghais his crew and his women.

When Butzbichler has to go to the hospital after a traffic accident, Dublin is to be slaughtered. Kathi and her grandmother decide to buy the horse. They find a new home for the four-legged friend - at least until they can sell Dublin again. But then everything turns out quite differently.

Minas, Giorgos' employee, becomes Giorgos' guardian angel preventing the suicide at the last minute.

Thomas Karatoulpanis (Dinos Iliopoulos) is a naive employee at a car show in the Thessaloniki International Trade Fair. Because of his modest personality he is constantly criticised by his mother-in-law, his uncle and his boss. The only one who supports him is his wife. But the appearance of a doppelganger who buys extravagant gifts in his name causes a ruckus. Thomas is an amateur singer and participates in the Thessaloniki Song Festival winning the first prize. This is when everyone realises that there are two people who look alike.

Alekos (Dinos Iliopoulos) is in love with Voula (Maria Voulgari) whose brother threatens to kill him if he doesn't marry her soon. Alekos' father (Pantelis Zervos) on the other hand insists that Alekos' sister (Zoe Laskari) has to get married before him. His sister Annoula (Zoe Laskari) is in love with Antonis (Stephanos Stratigos) and pressures him to ask for her hand in marriage from her family. Antonis meets Alekos by accident at a cafe in Panorama - they don't know each other - and advises him to use the infalible method of "escaping through an engagement" to calm down Voula's brother. This is after all what he intends to do himself... And God help them...

Although they were stars back in those days, having slacked up their efforts subsequently, their daily life is lackluster now that the age of forty is just around the corner. They talk at a favorite local tavern just like they used to after Akira comes home giving up his dream to become an actor. Thinking back, they have never accomplished anything but ekiden, and they have unknowingly acquired a tendency to run away from problems in life in general. The phrase they cannot help muttering to themselves is how brilliant they were in those days… Feeling dispirited, they think of participating in the Shimanto Dragon Ride. A challenge for the four men in their late thirties begins…
