I know this film is for kids, and parents can judge for themselves how good this is by how well their little ones pay attention to it. I found it to be rather rough sledding, insofar as holding my interest went. It stayed true enough to the story, but the animals seemed homely to me, not pleasant to look at and not necessarily easy to tell apart from each other. I once had this story read to me when I was in the hospital for a long time, and quite frankly, I found that method of experiencing the story more interesting than this movie,.
But where children are concerned, your results may vary.
