Women's Letters

Ancestors is a film about spiritual forefathers and mothers in a purely fanciful sense. These are classical figures, anatomical figures, fairy tale figures and romantic figures all thrown in together - all my creative root-sources, in a kind of playful tribute. Like part 2 of Duo Concertantes, it's a moving single picture, now doubled.

The story (or: the non-story) is focusing on small, unconscious gestures during a moment of non-communication on a train.

Zibilla, a young zebra adopted by a couple of horses, is the laughing stock of her new schoolmates. She ends up hating her stripes. When she has her stuffed toy stolen, she takes off without a second thought to look for it and that is where her adventures begin...

A troublesome individual is put against a jury. Is he capable of life in a joyous community, where a smile never leaves faces?

Franklin and his family are off on a Christmas visit with Grandma and Grandpa at Faraway Farm. When a sudden ice storm hits and Grandpa takes a terrible tumble, Franklin and his baby sister Harriet begin a magical adventure as they journey home in search of help. With the aid of a mysterious flying creature and some very special new friends, the two manage to return with Doctor Bear and her family. Once back together, friends and family share an enchanted Christmas Ever and a memory they will hold forever of a magical Christmas night.

Meeper and the ChubbChubbs go to the North Pole; when Santa Claus is injured and can't deliver his presents, he is replaced by Meeper.

The magical tale of a mouse who sets foot on a woodland adventure in search of a nut. Encountering predators who all wish to eat him - Fox, Owl and Snake - the brave mouse creates a terrifying, imaginary monster to frighten them away. But what will the mouse do when he meets this frightful monster for real?

This film aims to capture the stories of the aging Isabella, but also captures her condition and loss of cohesiveness as she loses herself into dementia and Parkinson's. It is also a very personal film since the subject is the grandmother of one of the co- directors. The idea is interesting as it links one strong clear memory, told several times, to other fragments and truths of her condition. Animation is sparingly but cleverly used to complement the delivery and avoid it just being a talking head.

A man named Tom, who as a young boy, was passionate about astronomy and always dreaming about outer space.

Anouk, a little orphan, meets the Grim reaper and becomes a fan. A love that the servant of Death will have to cope with.

In a bland, utilitarian world of order, one worker finds his inner jazz

Heidi is a happy, outgoing orphan who lives with her grandfather in the idyllic scenery of the Swiss Alps. Heidi makes friends quickly and people know they can always rely on her for help. She loves the freedom of life in the mountains, but she also learns how to take on responsibility. Her cheerful nature helps to show others how to handle the challenges of everyday life and still be happy. Heidi’s honesty and natural charm inspires both courage and a joy of life in everyone she meets.

When Stick rescues Stone from a prickly situation with a Pinecone, the pair becomes fast friends. But when Stick gets stuck, can Stone return the favor? With a subtle anti-bullying message even the young will understand, Stick and Stone have energy, emotion, and personality to spare and share a story of kindness and friendship that all will enjoy.
